è ancora il tempo per Grandi Vini Rossi
The family-run winery Fattoria di Colle Allodole Milziade Antano was founded in the late 1960s thanks to Cavaliere Milziade Antano, one of the leading figures in the history of Sagrantino.
Tradition, innovation, territory, a lot of passion and great sensitivity are the guiding words in everyday work. The winery boasts some of the most beautiful vineyards in the area, such as the now famous cru Colleallodole, in the heart of an area with a thousand-year tradition in wine and oil production.
The name Colleallodole is inspired by the migration of larks, which have always crossed the hillocks and slopes of these hills in October. Driving up from Bevagna toward Montefalco, the town that gives the appellation its name, one can admire the winery’s vineyards.
There are about 20 hectares under vine; these are hilly soils, characterized by a mild, breezy climate, where the sun illuminates the vines both in the morning and in the afternoon; medium-textured-clay, they never exceed in compactness and heaviness.
Position and exposure allow for beautiful ripening of grapes and tannins, characterizing these wines by their unmistakable elegance. In the field and in the cellar, work is done in the traditional way, without the use of chemicals. Every day’s work is aimed at the realization of a production, which in the continuous respect for the authenticity of traditions, succeeds in consolidating both the position at the national level, making the image of the wine of Umbria strong, and at the international level, enhancing the production philosophy of native grape varieties.
