Montefalco Rosso D.O.C. – Italian Wine from Tenuta Alzatura is a premium wine produced in the Montefalco region of Umbria, Italy.
This wine is made from a blend of Sangiovese (70%), Sagrantino (15%), and Merlot (15%). Leggi di più
The vineyards, located at an average altitude of 350 meters above sea level, benefit from well-structured medium-textured soil. With a yield of 80 quintals per hectare and a planting density of 5000 plants, the grapes are carefully cultivated to ensure exceptional quality.
Vinification:
The Montefalco Rosso Alzatura is crafted using a red vinification process with prolonged maceration at controlled temperatures. Fermentation takes place at 28 °C and lasts for 15 days, allowing for the extraction of the unique aromas and flavors of the selected grapes.
The wine then matures for 14 months in oak barriques, followed by a minimum of 4 months in the bottle.
For optimal enjoyment, serve Montefalco Rosso Alzatura at a temperature between 16 and 18 °C. It has an alcohol content of 14%, creating a well-balanced and harmonious profile.

Our cellar, modern and functional, was completely renovated in 1997 and today presents inside: A vinification and storage department where there are stainless steel tanks for fermentation and storage of wines, equipped with devices for temperature regulation and automation of the pumping-over of red wines during fermentation.
