Montefalco Sericum Terre de la Custodia is a harmonious blend of Sangiovese and other carefully selected grape varieties, as permitted by the production regulations. Cultivated with passion and expertise, this wine reflects the unique terroir of Umbria, delivering a sensory experience that is both captivating and unforgettable.
Vinification and Aging:
The finest clusters are delicately fermented in stainless steel tanks with automated remontage for 8-10 days. Malolactic fermentation takes place in stainless steel at controlled temperatures, ensuring the preservation of the wine’s natural freshness and vitality. A portion of the wine is then aged in oak barrels for 8 months, followed by a further refinement in the bottle for 4-6 months, enhancing its complexity and depth.
