Todi Merlot Tudernum D.O.C. – Fine Italian Red Wine
Todi Merlot Tudernum D.O.C. is a remarkable wine that thrives in the territory of Umbria, with its gentle hills and continental climate. Rainy springs and dry, sun-drenched summers create the perfect conditions for the maturation of Merlot grapes. Originally bottled as an “experiment” in the mid-1980s, Merlot has now become one of our greatest sources of pride, with its quality recognized on an international level. Careful vinification and a brief maturation in wood give rise to a structured wine with a youthful character. Best served at room temperature, it pairs wonderfully with spicy cheeses, red meats, and game.
The winemaking process includes a medium-long maceration on the grape skins, followed by maturation in oak for 6 months and subsequent refinement in the bottle. The alcohol content ranges from 13% to 13.5%, resulting in a well-balanced, dry, and soft wine with just the right amount of tannins.
Todi Merlot Tudernum D.O.C. perfectly complements spicy cheeses, red meats, game, and wild game. Its brilliant ruby red color and intense fruity aroma with subtle hints of vanilla make it irresistible to connoisseurs of refined taste.
To fully appreciate its characteristics, it is recommended to serve Todi Merlot Tudernum D.O.C. at a temperature of 18°C after allowing it to breathe for a while.
