Bianco di Torgiano DOC “Figlio della Luna” Tenute Baldo
“Figlio della Luna” Bianco di Torgiano Tenute Baldo is a joyful, fresh, and youthful wine that presents itself with a pale yellow color tending towards golden. The wine greets you with aromas of yellow fruits like banana and ripe apple, transitioning to exotic and citrusy hints of pineapple and lime. The bouquet is complex, ranging from fruity to floral, with notes of jasmine, honey, and wildflowers. It is a glass of remarkable fullness and roundness, with sinuosity and a well-balanced alcoholic warmth that entices you to sip and savor.
This wine is crafted from a blend of three main grape varieties: Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Trebbiano. It is produced in the Torgiano region, ensuring its quality and authenticity.
The grapes are carefully handpicked during the cool night hours and undergo a meticulous selection process. They are then softly pressed, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures for approximately 10 days. To protect and ensure the integrity of our wine, all operations take place in an oxygen-free environment, with the assistance of CO2 and nitrogen as process aids.
After fermentation, the wine is aged in stainless steel on fine lees for about 5 months, acquiring additional complexity and depth of character. The bottle is sealed with a technical cork closure derived from sugarcane, chosen to harmonize the wine during the bottle aging process of approximately 1 month.
“Figlio della Luna” Bianco di Torgiano DOC proudly carries the Denominazione di Origine Controllata, guaranteeing its quality and adherence to regional standards. The alcohol content of this wine ranges from 13% to 13.5% by volume.
