Valdipiatta Tosca

A perennial accompaniment to Tuscan gastronomy, Chianti Colli Senesi is a traditional wine of intense fruit and smooth tannins. It's easy drinkability makes it ideal for pairing with delicate dishes as well as those of medium complexity.

Production zone: Township of Montepulciano - Bossona, Ciarliana, Sanguineto, Valdipiatta

Grape Blend: Predominantly Sangiovese with Canaiolo Nero

Training system: Spur pruned cordon and Guyot

Yield: 7-8 tons per hectare

Vinification: Vinification in steel tanks at controlled temperatures between 24 and 28 °C. Maceration on the skins for about 15 days. Daily pump over from the second day of fermentation. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation in climate-controlled steel tanks.

Aging and refining: In certain years the wine may be aged for three months in Slavonian oak barrels of 30 and 50 hl. This is followed by a period of refining in the bottle.
