Montefalco Rosso DOC Cellars Schippa
Red wine with great structure and characterized by full-bodied and deep taste. Very persistent in mouth with a very pronounced vanilla note.
Species of vine
Sangiovese 65%, Merlot 25%, Sagrantino 10%
Altitude: Vineyards planted at 400m above sea level
Output per hectare 70-80 q.
Vinification: Maceration on the grapes’ skins for 15 days at controlled and even temperature, 25°C, with various daily wine-pressing especially in first days
Aging: 50% 12 months in French oak tonneaux and 50% in stainless (INOX) tanks and then 4 months in bottle
Ideal with roast meats, game meat, seasoned cheeses and salumi and cold pork meat.
