You can request the return for any product within 14 days from the delivery date within the limits set by the regulations of Legislative Decree 206/05 ("Consumer Code").
Grape variety: Sangiovese 70% (selected from the oldest vines), Sagrantino 15%, Cabernet Sauvignon 10%, Merlot 5%.
First vintage: 1998.
Yield per hectare: 50 hL per hectare / 1.6 kg per plant.
Harvest: Sangiovese grapes are handpicked in the last week of September. They undergo a final selection in the cellar.
Vinification: Each varietal is vinified separately, using gravity. Fermentation in contact with the skins for 15 to 20 days at 25°C. Malolactic fermentation takes place. The wine clarifies spontaneously with no need for filtration.
Ageing: The four component varietals are blended and then aged in lightly toasted 500 L barrels for 6 months then in larger 25 hL barrels for 12 months. Clarification occurs in cement vats for 3 months. Bottle ageing for 12 months.
Tasting notes: Intense ruby red in colour. The bouquet presents delicate notes of plums, cherry and spice. The taste is elegant with mature red fruits and balanced final tannins.
