Ripiddu Etna Rosso Filippo Grasso
Grapes: 90% nerello mascalese, 10% nerello mantellato / hood
Production area: vineyards on the northern slope of Etna, volcanic soil, stony, dry, draining and rich in minarali. Contrada Calderara, municipality of Randazzo, 650 meters above sea level.
Vineyards: espalier with high plant density.
Yield per hectare: 50 quintals
Vinification: maceration with the skins for 12-15 days at a controlled temperature, aging in stainless steel
Color: ruby red with garnet
Nose: spicy notes with hints of toasted
Taste: dry, full, tannic
Serve with: red meats, game, roasts, aged cheeses
Serving temperature: 16-18 degrees C.
Alcohol content: 13.5 to 14.5% vol.
