Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva
The Vino Nobile Riserva is only made in exceptional years during which the grapes from our older vineyards are carefully selected and separately vinified. This wine's longevity requires that aging in wood is followed by a period, sometimes quite long, of refining in the bottle such that a perfect equilibrium between all its components is achieved.

Production zone: Township of Montepulciano – Sanguineto, Bossona
Grape Blend: Predominantly Sangiovese with Canaiolo Nero
Training system: Spur pruned cordon and Guyot
Yield: 5 tons per hectare
Vinification: Vinification in steel tanks at controlled temperatures between 24 and 28 °C. Maceration on the skins for 20-25 days. Daily pump over and délestage at the beginning and in the middle of fermentation. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation in temperature-controlled steel tanks.
Aging and refining: After an aging period of 15-18 months in French oak tonneaux of 500 l and/or Slavonian oak barrels of 30 hl, the wine is left to refine in the bottle for another 12-25 months
