The tradition and knowledge acquired over the years are passed down from Rio Pardi (1914-1991), which already in the first years after the death of his father Alberto, in the small cellar under the house, located in via Mazzini in Montefalco, continues to produce small
quantities of Sagrantino Passito mostly used as a gift for friends, and a small part sold in their own grocery shop. Today the same philosophy that nurfed the thought of the family is preserved and handed down by the new generations with love.
A few steps from the town of Montefalco below the ancient walls, in 2003 was born our current winery destined to the entire production chain of wine, from the cultivation and processing of grapes to the marketing of wines. The wine-making room, equipped with stainless steel fermenters, is used for the fermentation of white and red musts and for the preservation of finished wines. At the elevation of the wine, is reserved the underground area of the cellar, equipped with French barriques and, as tradition has, large barrels in oak and Slavonian. Here they are also made to refine, once bottled, the great wines with denomination of origin: Sagrantino Secco and Passito di Montefalco DOCG, Rosso DOC and Bianco DOC. Each vintage is different from the others and it is our special interest to respect what nature offers us, without forcing or manipulating our products in any way. We strongly believe in our territory, in its culture and wine-growing tradition and we intend to communicate all this to the world through a bottle able to transmit our values on its own.
