Alcoholic fermentation occurs with maceration of the skins in stainless steel tanks, preserving the integrity and purity of the grapes. Aging in steel barrels, followed by an additional 6 months of refinement in the bottle, allows the wine to reach its full maturity and complexity. The result is a wine of intense ruby red color tending towards garnet, with an enveloping aroma of blackberry jam and berries. In the mouth, it reveals itself semi-sweet, warm, and soft, with a well-balanced tannin that makes it very persistent and harmonious. Montefalco Sagrantino Passito Plautilla is the perfect accompaniment to pies and desserts with dried fruit, but it also pairs magnificently with very mature cheeses. To be enjoyed at a serving temperature between 18 and 20°C, it is a true experience of pleasure and refinement for the senses.
