Assisi Grechetto DOP Sportoletti
Assisi Grechetto Sportoletti produced with 100% Grechetto grapes
The vineyards are at an altitude of about 300 metres, about 15 years old, and are all situated within the DOC wine production area of Assisi.
The soil is mainly shallow, of medium consistency, with a high level of skeletal deposits deriving from the dissolving of the calcareous rock of Mount Subasio.
Vinification:
The grapes, transported immediately to the winery, were destalked and macerated for approximately 6 hours, before soft pressing.
Alcoholic fermentation takes place in thermal-conditioned stainless-steel tanks, at a maximum temperature of 16°C.
The wine is then refined in bottles for several months before being marketed.
Tasting notes:
Intense straw yellow, it expresses the delicate bouquet of jasmine, white peaches and Golden Delicious apples. It is warm and soft in the mouth, with mineral notes and a slightly mentholated finish.
Recommended for appetizers and main courses of fish and vegetables; grilled vegetables, seafood, white meats grilled.

Family
The Sportoletti family, for generations in agriculture, has always dedicated itself with passion to the production of wine. Towards the end of the 1970s, the brothers Ernesto and Remo, treasuring the teachings of their father Vittorio, decided to devote themselves exclusively to viticulture.
